Spunbonded No-woven Fabric shows the multifunctional materials in modern industry and life

Posted by Admin

Spunbonded Non-woven Fabric is a non-woven fabric made directly from polymer resin through a special process. It is widely used in many fields such as medical, health, agriculture, packaging, automotive interior, construction, etc. It combines the softness of textiles and the durability of plastic films. It is a functional material with excellent performance, convenient processing and low cost.

The production process of spunbonded non-woven fabric mainly includes melt extrusion, spinning, stretching, web laying and hot rolling reinforcement. In this process, polymer raw materials such as polypropylene (PP) and polyester (PET) are heated and melted to form continuous filaments through a spinneret, and then oriented by air flow or mechanical stretching to form a fiber mesh, and finally formed by hot pressing and bonding to form a cloth-like material with certain strength and flexibility. Since its production process does not require the spinning and weaving process in traditional textiles, it has the characteristics of high efficiency, energy saving, environmental protection and sustainability.

Super Soft Hydrophilic Spunbond Nonwoven Fabric

The most significant advantages of spunbonded non-woven fabrics are high strength, tear resistance, good air permeability, waterproof and moisture-proof, strong chemical stability, and can be dyed, coated, laminated, antibacterial treatment and other subsequent processing according to different application requirements. For example, in the medical and health field, it is widely used to make disposable items such as surgical gowns, masks, protective clothing, and disinfection wraps, and is favored for its good antibacterial properties and comfort; in agriculture, spunbond non-woven fabrics can be used as thermal insulation covering materials to help crops resist cold and pests without affecting light transmission and breathability; in the home and packaging industry, it is often used to make environmentally friendly shopping bags, gift bags, clothing linings and other products, which are both beautiful and practical.

In addition, with the increasing global awareness of environmental protection, spunbond non-woven fabrics, as a recyclable material, are gradually replacing traditional plastic products and cotton fabrics. Compared with disposable plastic bags, spunbond bags are more durable and reusable; compared with cotton cloth, it uses less water and consumes less energy during the production process, which is in line with the development trend of green manufacturing.

Of course, spunbond non-woven fabrics also have certain limitations, such as not feeling as soft as natural fabrics, poor hygroscopicity, and some products have a long degradation cycle in the natural environment. Therefore, in recent years, many studies have been devoted to the development of biodegradable spunbond materials, such as PLA (polylactic acid)-based spunbond fabrics, to further improve their environmental performance.

Spunbonded Non-woven Fabric has become an indispensable new material in modern society due to its excellent physical properties, wide applicability and green environmental advantages. Whether in daily life or in high-end industrial fields, it plays an increasingly important role and will continue to promote technological progress and sustainable development in related industries in the future.
